DSOV ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

There's never been a better time to get involved in the Democratic Socialists of Vancouver. 

Zohran Mamdani's historic campaign in New York City has changed the discussion across North America. Locally, DSOV endorsed and mobilized to support the election of socialist Sean Orr running with the Coalition of Progressive Electors earlier this year. These wins are proof that our ideas are popular, and that we should never underestimate what is possible if people are willing to fight. 

DSOV’s Electoral Working Group (Vote Socialist) will be participating in the movement to Evict Ken Sim in 2026, and is always open to supporting and mobilizing for good grassroots candidates for other levels of office. We're about much more than electoral work, of course ... 

Our active working groups include a weekly Reading Group and a monthly Fridge Stock group that organizes mutual aid across the city. As well we will be hosting the annual Social Justice Info Fair during May Day 2026.

In the past we have had active working groups on Labour, Palestine Solidarity, Climate, and much more. We are always open to new grassroots initiatives and campaigns - and that's why we encourage all members to join us for the AGM.
