THE DSOV NEEDS VOLUNTEERS
MAY 4TH
No shift will be longer than 2 hours. We need
Set up 1:00 - 2:00
Meet with truck, help unload and set up tent and tables
Tabling 2:00 - 4:00
Volunteers at our table will be chatting with passers by, handing out flyers, and helping with food
Take down 4:00 - 4:30
Take down tent and tables, help load into truck
Guides - 1:00 - 4:00
Guides will wear hi-viz vests and walk the fair helping where needed, answering questions etc.

ABOUT THE FAIR: DATE CHANGE!!
The DSOV has agree to help host the annual Vancouver May Day Social Justice Information Fair scheduled this year for May 4th, 2:00 - 4:00 pm. The Fair has been held in Grandview Park in Vancouver for several years. The fair is an open invitation to a broad range of social justice groups to come down, set up an information table and talk to the community. Typically there are 12 - 20 different groups representing at this fair.
This year, 2024, the DSOV has agreed to help host the event. We are planning a rally, a blessing, some acoustic music, and the DSOV will be serving food. As in previous years, all organizations and groups are welcome to set up and join in, talk to passersby, and inform people of important social issues in Vancouver, BC and indeed the world today.
