This year, thanks to the very hard work of DSOV organizers and volunteers, the three candidates, Sean Orr for City Council, Andrea Pinochet-Escudero for Park Board, and Dr. Karina Zeidler for School Trustee, and many others, Vancouver residents have the option to VOTE Socialist in the municipal election on Saturday Oct 15.

Today we’re asking all DSOV Members if you’d like to get involved. We will be mobilizing all day Saturday to support our candidates and our vision of a city that puts the working class at the centre of public policy. Our policies are strong and should be put into practice. They would save lives and improve quality of life for countless people in Vancouver.

To be honest a victory for even one of our candidates will have positive repercussions for the left across the country. Event a strong showing at the polls would show you can run a serious campaign on an openly left platform.

Please volunteer on Saturday if you can. We need everyone who can to come out and help - even a couple hours makes a big difference. At the end of the day we will have treats at the Campaign Office on 4259 Fraser, while we watch the election results.
